Enyla Herndon

Enyla Herndon is a social work professional and dedicated community advocate committed to creating positive, lasting change for families and communities. As an alumni of Tennessee State University, she has built a strong foundation in mental health, youth development, and policy advocacy through hands-on experience in behavioral health, direct support services, and community outreach.
Enyla has served in leadership roles across academic and service-based organizations, including mentoring young women, coordinating campus-wide events, and advancing initiatives focused on education equity and community empowerment. Her professional experience spans behavioral therapy for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, youth program leadership, and direct support for individuals with disabilities—each role strengthening her commitment to holistic, person-centered care.
Recognized with the Dr. Hollace L. As a Brooks Policy Award recipient and a NASW-TN Baccalaureate Policy Winner, Enyla is passionate about bridging policy and practice to expand access and opportunity for underserved communities. She is currently pursuing advanced clinical licensure (MSW, LCSW) to deepen her impact in the mental health field. As Board Secretary, Enyla brings integrity, strategic organization, and a heart for service to support initiatives that uplift, empower, and transform communities.
